Yazd Rolling Mill is a member of Foulad Yazd Manufacturing Group of companies. It started operation in 1979 on a plant site of 50 hectares close to the city of Yazd, Central Iran. Today it has grown to become a major private industrial concern in Iran employing over 1200 people. The following companies operate under Foulad Yazd Group:

Following the economic liberalization policies of the mid 90's in Iran Yazd Rolling Mill was among the first companies to enter the steel industry by setting up a hot rolling mill for production of plain and ribbed bars. Due to positive market response it has implemented a strategy of expansion in the steel industry both in terms of capacity and products. Today Yazd Rolling Mill is the biggest private steel producer in Iran with rolled capacity of 1.2 million tons (2008) and is actively pursuing plans to expand into steel making using iron ore.
